Rounding Up the Unusual Suspects
By Vic Harville
No public figure or issue is safe in this collection of political and sports cartoons. Harville mercilessly proclaims the inconsistencies, failings and disappointments in modern America with an eye for the laughter, head-shaking, anger and sadness they provoke. In the collection, Harville tackles all of today's big issues: terrorism, the election process, warring political parties, foreign policy and the economy with constant wit, professionalism and understanding of how everyday American citizens are affected. Harville also turns his pen on his home-state of Arkansas, both its government and its rabid sports fans.
About Vic Harville: Since beginning his cartooning career in 1987, Harville has received both regional and national recognition, winning the prestigious Katie Award given by the Press Club of Dallas and twice taking top honors at the Society of Professional Journalists Mid-South Competition. He is also four-time winner of the Arkansas Press Association contest. Harville joined Stephens Media Group in 2000, and his cartoons appear in several Arkansas papers daily.
